Vincent Parker! LongWalkShortDock! Ruairi Lazers! live at the Biltmore Cabaret

Hey baybees. Time to get psyched. This promises to be an amazing show case of all out live electronic madness. These three mad scientists are each very much originals with their own styles and they know how to ROCK! Equipped with mad skills and a full on stage and visual presentation this will be a show to remember!

It’s an early show and the plan is to rock out as long as possible

LongWalkShortDock (Vancouver BC)

A veteran of sound design and electronic music production for well over a decade, Dave King (longwalkshortdock)’s music has stepped into a genre of its own. Heavily influenced by early 80s video game music and vintage analog synthesis, he stacks layers of melody in his tracks untill they implode and reform. Heavy drums and aggressive synths join forces with rolling grooves and melodic lead lines to create a wide variety of slamming dance floor originals. Not limited to dance music, his music crosses into many territories. His vast catalogue of hundreds of songs dives into ambient, IDM, electro, acid, house, big beat, indie rock, drones, electronica and down tempo. Playing songs and remixes he wrote and produced, longwalkshortdock performs live PA with live vocals, synthesizers, drum machines, guitar, effects, toys, computers and even some of his own strobes and lighting. Known for his incredibly “enthusiastic” performances, longwalkshortdock has performed live with talented artists like Phil Western (Download, Skinny Puppy, Kone), Alex Patterson (The Orb), Adam Freeland, MSTRKRFT, Mimosa, Junkie XL, Shout out out out out and Matt the Alien to name a few. Longwalkshortdocks debut record, “Casual Tea” has just been self released and is available through him personally now. A digital release is in the works.

Did you know they found him in a cave on the moon? Thats what i heard…

Vincent Parker (Vancouver BC)

Vincent Parker, the Vancouver based recording artist signed with Run Riot Records, has been crafting his own brand of live psyched-out power rhythms since 2003. Formerly the producer and beatmaker of the famed underground booty tech punk band Artemis Jackson, Parker has been hard at work tooling and tweaking his latest release, “Prism Myst”, out April 13th 2010 on Run Riot Records. Using a streamlined live PA setup consisting of just a PC laptop and double Kaoss pads, Parker makes new, genre-shunning, laser-blistering, glitched mega grooves for the 21st century. Make no mistake, Parker has an instantly recognizable style, and his own manifesto for the future of electronic music. He plans on sharing it with you.

and introducing in his first ever Vancouver show

Ruairi Lazers (Victoria)

Ruairi Lazers, hailing from the arctic tundra of Saskatchewan makes music to tap your toes and wiggle your feet to. Combining acoustic and V-drums with sequenced beats Ruairi is a true live electronica artist with his own flavour and style.
